Production process
High borosilicate tube blowing
Material Preparation: Glass rods/tubes (commonly borosilicate or soda-lime glass) are selected based on thermal properties and color requirements.
Heating & Shaping: The glass is melted using a gas-oxygen torch, allowing precise temperature control. Molten glass is wound onto a mandrel or shaped directly with tools (tweezers, paddles) to create beads, vessels, or intricate designs. For hollow forms (e.g., tubes), air is gently blown through a blowpipe into the molten glass to expand it.
Detail Work: Colors or patterns are added by layering or fusing additional glass strands. Complex designs (e.g., twists, dots) are crafted through controlled reheating and manipulation.
Controlled cooling: Once the glass is formed, it must be cooled gradually to prevent cracks or breakage due to internal stresses. If the Annealing: Finished pieces are placed in a kiln to cool slowly, relieving internal stresses and preventing cracking.
Finishing: Surfaces are polished, and any sharp edges are smoothed via grinding or flame polishing.
Key Applications: Scientific glassware, jewelry, decorative art, and custom lighting components.
Advantages: High precision for small-scale items, flexibility in design, and suitability for mixed-media integration.

Molten Glass Blowing
Material collection: Workers use a blowpipe to dip glass material from the crucible. After preheating, the blowpipe is inserted into the glass liquid at an angle of 45°~50°, with a depth of 2~4cm. After rotating 3~4 times, the blowpipe rotates to the left front after a certain amount of glass liquid is rolled up. The material wire is placed in front of the left of the material collection position, and the material is rounded after removal. The weight of the material picked each time should be the same for the same type of glass products. After removing the material, the glass blowpipe is placed on the airing machine for rotation.
Blowing tiny bubbles: The glass material taken out is slightly cooled, and the color changes, which can be judged as the glass being blown into tiny bubbles. If a large glass artwork is blown, it is necessary to use tiny bubbles to take out the material twice or more. After removing the material again, a metal rolling plate or a declining bowl is often used to roll the picked glass liquid to give it a symmetrical shape and a smooth surface. The outer diameter of the small bubble is generally 2/5 to 4/5 of the upper diameter of the mold. The thickness of the small bubble is uniform, and there are no artificial bubbles.
Prepare a giant bubble: Take the small bubble blown out and retake the material. Insert the small bubble into the glass liquid about 2/3 and rotate it. The glass liquid neatly wraps the small bubble. Stand firmly when taking the material. Push it to the left front while turning and break the material wire before the taking point. After taking the material, the glass liquid is cooled and shaped in the rolling bowl. There should be an appropriate amount of water in the rolling bowl. When operating, the front hand is low, and the back hand is high. Turn it lightly, steadily, and quickly to make the material tire uniform in thickness. Then, air is added to shake the tire to reduce the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the tire. The rotation speed and direction of the blowpipe can be controlled. Make the bubble wall uniform and symmetrical. Place it vertically upward to make the bubble bottom thinner. Swing the blowpipe vertically downward to make the bubble longer. Finally, the bubble shape is close to the shape of the mold, and the volume is 70% to 80% of the mold cavity.
Blowing and shaping in the mold:Put the prepared giant bubble into the mold. The blowpipe needs to be rotated and blown continuously for rotary-blown products. The air can be blown directly for static-blown products to expand the bubble and fill the entire mold cavity to form the desired shape. The speed should be slow initially, and the air should not be given too quickly. Metal molds or wooden molds need to be cooled with water. Metal molds are lined with carbon coating, or “ash”. Wooden molds are lined with newspapers. After the mold is fixed, it can be demolded and blown into glass products suitable for dry mass production. Artists create a small number of products and pursue creative artistic effects. They often use materials of different materials that can be found everywhere in life, such as molds. For example, some artists use hollow bricks as molds to make the product’s surface have an undulating effect.

Materials we can provide
Soda-lime glass
Density: ~2.5 g/cm³
Coefficient of thermal expansion: High (~9 × 10⁻⁶/K), making it less resistant to thermal shock compared to borosilicate glass.
Mechanical Properties: Moderate strength (~50 MPa tensile strength), brittle, and prone to fracture under impact.
Optical Properties: High light transmission up to 90%
Chemical Resistance: Susceptible to alkaline solutions and hydrofluoric acid; resistant to water and weak acids.
Color: Clear/Transparent,Ultra-Clear
Applications: Packaging,Consumer Goods,Automotive
Key Advantages: Excellent formability ,High transparency and aesthetic versatility.
Limitations: Poor thermal shock resistance,Lower chemical durability compared to specialty glasses (e.g., borosilicate).

Borosilicate glass
Thermal Expansion: Extremely low (~3.3 × 10⁻⁶/K), with excellent thermal shock resistance (>200°C tolerance).
Tensile strength: ~50-70 MPa (similar to soda-lime glass, slightly higher toughness). Brittle but resistant to thermal stress fractures.
Optical Properties: 92% light transmission (ultra-clear, no tint).
Chemical Resistance:Resists strong acids (except HF) and weak alkalis; superior hydrolytic stability.
Applications: Laboratory equipment, heat-resistant tools, optical components, pharmaceutical packaging, renewable energy systems, high-temperature cookware.
Key Advantages:Exceptional thermal shock resistance (withstands direct flames). High chemical durability (acid/alkali environments). Lightweight (lower density than soda-lime glass). Non-leaching, food/pharmaceutical safety compliant.
High cost: 2-5x pricier than soda-lime glass (due to boron oxide and high melting temps >1,600°C).
Complex processing: Requires specialized techniques (precision molding, laser cutting).
Limited color options:Rarely available in colored variants.

Colored glass
Depends on base glass: Soda-lime: ~9 × 10⁻⁶/K。 Borosilicate: ~3.3 × 10⁻⁶/K.
Standard Colors: Red (gold nanoparticles or selenium), Blue (cobalt), Green (iron/chromium), Yellow (sulfur), Amber.
Mechanical Properties:Brittle (similar to base glass). Can be tempered or laminated for enhanced strength.
Optical Properties:Light transmission: 80-90% (varies by color); minimal inherent tint.
Chemical Resistance: Resistant to water and weak acids; color stability varies (some pigments degrade under UV/strong chemicals).
Applications:Architectural stained glass (windows, domes). Art installations and sculptures. Decorative tableware and lighting. Jewelry and fashion accessories. Automotive/aviation interior accents.
Key Advantages:Aesthetic versatility for artistic and functional designs. Customizable colors and textures. UV-resistant options for outdoor use.Compatible with traditional glassworking techniques (blowing, fusing).
Limitations: Higher cost for custom colors/coatings. Reduced structural integrity in laminated designs. Limited thermal shock resistance (soda-lime base). Some pigments may fade under prolonged UV exposure.Environmental Impact Recyclable (base glass), but pigmented layers may complicate recycling.Lead-based pigments require hazardous waste handling.
